The festive season was ushered in in the warmest way at JW Marriott Kuala Lumpur as the hotel recently held its annual launch of the Toys for Tots charity campaign and Christmas tree lighting ceremony!
Officiated by Area General Manager Mr Mahmoud Skaf, the Toys for Tots charity campaign is a benefit event hosted yearly by the hotel in support of charitable organisations for children within the community. Children from participating homes have the opportunity to have their Christmas wishes displayed on the hotel’s impressive Christmas tree at the Lobby for guests and the public to grant their wishes by contributing gifts or donating funds for the purchase of these gifts.
This year, there are 200 Christmas wishes submitted by the children of Rumah Kebajikan & Anak Yatim Darul Najjah, Rumah Victory, Rumah Hope, Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anak Yatim Mary and Pertubuhan Rumah Kebajikan Kanak-Kanak Home of Peace Kuala Lumpur.
There was a special appearance by Santa Claus and the children from the homes were treated to a luscious spread of festive dinner, eggnogs and cookies. Even Mini C was very excited to meet Santa Claus! He used to be very afraid of Santa but I guess he’s a big boy now. He even asked to have a picture with Mr Claus! So much love!
