Even though Kuala Lumpur isn’t exactly known for being a city of love, we’ve got plenty of idyllic spaces for couples to get all lovey-dovey with one another. There’s a time to dine with big groups and there’s a time to go for cheaper eats but when the mood for love hits, it’s best to take it up a notch with a proper sit-down full-blown romantic meal. Whether you’re planning for your first date, an anniversary or a regular date night out about town, Eat Me at Traders Kuala Lumpur rings the bell.

A variety of buns to start with.
Our Amuse Bouche of Smoked salmon with capers, caviar, pink peppercorns and a crème Fraiche.
As for starters, we can choose between these:
Tuna Carpaccio
A combination of semi-dried cherry tomatoes, raw tuna, orange segment and yuzu dressing.
Papa C enjoys the refreshing combination very much.
Buffalo Mozzarella
With tomatoes, basil and balsamic reduction.
I love the strong and tanginess of the buffalo mozzarella and the addition of balsamic glaze is sweet with just a tang of sourish taste to it.
Soup
Wild mushroom cappuccino
This wild mushroom version is rich and creamy with a touch of truffle to intensify the flavour.
And eating with the garlic bread is da bomb!
Lobster Bisque
One of the greatest seafood soups on the planet we always say.
It’s not a very thick bisque, just the right concoction but has incredible flavour. Creamy and so flavoursome.
Main Course
We can choose from either braised short rib, braised lamb shank or pan seared cod fish with choice of vegetable and starch: roasted potatoes, asparagus, broccoli, carrots, garlic mashed potatoes or pomme puree.
Braised Short Rib with Red Wine Reduction
These delicious boneless short ribs get loads of flavour from red wine and are meltingly tender.
New Zealand Braised Lamb Shank with pomme puree and au jus
Lamb Shanks are a great hearty fall dish. The long hours braise yields a superior texture and flavour.
The texture of braised lamb shank is like a cross between pulled pork and shredded beef, with a funkier, mildly gamey flavour. And it was so tender it falls off the bone.
Pan seared cod fish with seafood broth, cocotte vegetables and white wine.
Cod is a tasty fish that has a great texture. No regrets for my own order.
And as for vegetable and starch, we had roasted potatoes & asparagus.
Sweet ending with their Confection Connection that features Red Velvet, Chocolate Cake and Cheesecake.
