Upperhouse Kitchen & Dessert Bar
Behind the beautifully plated desserts and handmade chocolates at Upperhouse Bangsar is a Hester Ling and Gerard Ng, who are both professional pastry chefs passionate about desserts. Creating plated desserts with a pleasing palette can be tricky, as it’s not simply a matter of tossing on an artful drizzle of chocolate ganache. Hester & Gerald take great pains to plate desserts so that they look as good as they taste, considering their composition much as master painters would consider how to arrange their canvas. True that.
Upperhouse is an Australian-inspired dessert bar and kitchen nestled in Bangsar that serves contemporary western cuisine and plated desserts. Hester & Gerald bagged themselves with great experience in fine dining scene overseas and even make cakes for the royalty! – also specializing in all sorts of chocolate creations.
A small kids corner to occupy the children while the parents can enjoy their meal & desserts in more peace. We need this! Haha.
Since desserts are their forte, let’s start with these sweet notes first!
Their plated desserts consist of different texture, flavours & temperature. Adding different textures to the plate adds excitement to the visual appeal of dessert course, and the enjoyment only continues when the eating commences! They are not only a feast to our eyes but our palate too!
