When one set foot or gets hungry in Ipoh, most will make sure to find their way to this restaurant, where locals and visitors swear to have marvelous food here – Nam Heong 怡保南香白咖啡.
And right here at Pavilion Elite, you will be transported back in this once quaint town to reminisce over your childhood days (especially Ipoh Mali), over these food at:
Nam Heong Vintage
For patrons who craves for the endless varieties of good food Ipoh has to offer and yes, hor fun, toast bread & Kopi — is definitely top on the list. Established in 1958, this is where the tastes of traditional Ipoh fare live on, says Nam Heong. From Ipoh to KL, Nam Heong evolves with the test of time by introducing the use of technology to elevate the dining experience, hence earning its position as one of the most iconic brands in Ipoh’s rich culinary scene. No doubt on that.
I love its sleek, modern with touches of rekindling the old times design at this outlet. Its posh looking interior brought warmth and comfort to diners definitely. And most importantly the nostalgic feeling. It is also equipped with a modern ordering system through the iPad provided at every table. And thus, you can order with ease.
Food here is decent, with good coffee & other signature drinks like Red Bean Slush (红豆冰), signature flaky egg tarts, Signature Wat Tan Hor with lots of Wok Hei, egg custards, and even silky smooth Tau Foo Fah. These are some of my personal favourite 🙂
