UPDATES ON MINI C’S PROGRESSION AT BRAINFIT STUDIO
I still can’t believe Mini C has been in playschool for 5 months! Well, though it’s not an everyday routine and he only gets to attend the class at Brainfit once a week, but still we’re glad that we stepped up and choses this option as one of his “different activity” other than staying at home and not playing with anyone or interacting with other children.
Still, he is getting naughtier by days haha.
I find that he is more interactive with us nowadays. Not to say that Mini C is not very attached to us but we find that he’s quite independent.
1. Independent
I call it independent as he would play by himself, self entertain and thus lack of communication.
Some friends would say it’s super good! Cos he can self entertain.
But at some point, I fear about autism. I fear about his social interaction skills.
So nowadays we spend more time with him doing activities adapted from Brainfit together and we find it vey useful. He is more engaging and respond to us more!
2. Social Interaction
I find that he doesn’t show much interest in other children. Which worries me a lot.
He don’t really “play” with other kids. He will approach them first, either to grab something eg toys from them, but not greet them. I initially find it normal cos he’s so young and maybe he doesn’t know how to interact yet. But this problem has been going on for sometime. Thus, we hope through more plays and exposure to other kids at school, he’s able to overcome this obstacle.
3. Words Wizard
He speaks more compared to few months ago.
And very dependable on mood. When he’s with strangers or other newer people, he would just shut his mouth. Yikes.
However, at home he really know a lot of words! And to my surprise, words like “jack-in-the-box”!
And he can differentiate alphabets & phonics.
4. Motor Skills
He was very bad at this initially but lately he was a bit more focused. Haha
Here’s some pictures from Class 19 & 20.
So glad that baby Kayla joined him & they get to attend classes together!
