I recently went on an all-girls trip (more of an all-aunties trip since we’re all married and has a child on our own now) lol.
We are all first time mothers and though some of us has left for holidays without our babies, the guilt of leaving them at home with our parents & husbands are still there.
We would check our phones to ask what have they been doing all day, FaceTime etc haha
However…
The best thing about the trip: We felt renewed! — it was the first time we were able to do things (SHOPPING!) on own schedule and not our babies’. And it was great not having to entertain them while we were eating out, continue to gossip & actually enjoy our food + ambiance.
When the 4 of us meet (my friends and I), it will usually be our babies gathering rather than mama’s get-together cos we will be busy looking after our kids and no quality catch up time lol. But this round, we felt so free! Haha. Thanks to our husbands also for giving us a “holiday ticket” to Bangkok!
Flower Themed Café At Bangkok Emquartier is goodness gorgeous!
Namely: Audrey Cafe des Fleurs
This is Audrey’s latest outlet which is located at Emquartier. The Audrey Café & Bistro is said to be inspired by Audrey Hepburn, thus the feminine touch of elegance from its décor, uniform to presentations. In brief, a girly or ladies place! My camera just can’t stop taking pictures!
The Audrey Cafe des Fleurs at EmQuartier brings this theme even further – it is all about flowers.
Even before we enter the bistro, we saw rows of Flower Pot Cakes that are gelato desserts in mini-pots, Oreo soil, pink, violet and light blue whipped cream on top shaped in blossom petals. So pretty!
We just had the Experience beyond dining in French Provencial. Garden home & florals inspired decor serving Cosmopolitan food & desserts of comfort bliss to fancy Thai fusion!
Crab Soufflé served with Lobster Brandy Sauce – THB 340 (~ RM39.30)
I’ve only had Soufflé as desserts but never as a savoury and it was good!It was so light and fluffy, torched to almost golden on the outside and loaded with sweet crab meat + soup inside the pot. Pour in some of the lobster brandy sauce for the added flavours.
“Tom Yum Kung” Spicy Herbal with Prawn & Mushroom Pizza – THB 220 (~ RM25.50)
Must have tom yum when you’re in Bangkok right? How about a Thai twist on the pizza? The flavour and crispy texture is so pronounced.
Crispy Pork Cube – THB 420 (~ RM48.50)
German style pork knuckle deep fried in Cube shape served with mashed sweet potatoes & spicy sauces.
It’s like having German pork knuckle in fine dining style! This dish is not only pretty to look at but also tasted marvellous. The skin is so crispy but retains the tender meat. With a little dip into the Thai basil + sweet chilli sauce, it added the Thai twist onto it!
Coq Au Vin – THB 390 (~ RM45)
Roasted chicken with ham & mushroom in red wine sauce served with mashed potato.
Penne Lobster sauce with River Prawn – THB 370 (~ RM42.80)
Fresh river prawn and the lobster sauce was really concentrated and flavoursome. Pasta was al dente too.
Audrey’s Thai Tea Crepe Cake – THB 110 (~ RM12.70)
This cake might look a little bit simple but it taste light, delicious and has great texture. And it’s not too sweet as well!
We also celebrated Cindy’s birthday at Audrey!
Happy Birthday to the well deserved mommy!
Do drop by the latest Audrey Cafe at Emquartier for a flowery experience when you’re in Bangkok!
