Birthday birthday birthday i am celebrating my birthday! Celebrated, I mean 🙂
On 11.12.13
Friends and readers reminded me that it was a special day cos of the numbers LOL. Thanks love! Was so blessed with all the warm wishes from all of you! Thank you once again! Here’s where Chris brought me on my birthday 🙂 “Tomorrow we’re gonna have a nice breakfast I promise!”, said Chris But he didn’t tell me where to as he mentioned that it’s a hidden gem. Along the way, he kept asking me, “Guess where?” As he drove along Jalan Ampang Hilir, we reached a street named Persiaran Ritchie and stopped in front of Yayasan Seni Berdaftar. I was wondering if he got the wrong place and it says CLOSED. As I peep right inside, there’s an open area nestled right beside the main building of Yayasan Seni Berdaftar, a place where they preserve the arts and culture of our Malaysian heritage. OK. I totally forgot about That Latte Place until I stepped inside. Haha. You can easily “waze” your way here and look out for lot number 333 as this coffee place has no significant signboard as you go along. Please bear in mind 🙂 An outdoor cafĂ© that sits on a courtyard with lush of greenery surrounding it, providing a serene ambiance with their outdoor garden seating. Breakfast is a meal to be excited about! And to drink coffee with! Well, this place could get very packed especially during weekends. It’s advisable to be there earlier. We would say, That Latte Place would be one of our favourite places worth waking up for 🙂 It was a public holiday when we visited and there were many tables with families. Very popular place for breakfast we must say. However, we still managed to secure a table despite it being a public holiday (maybe only Selangor holiday so it’s easier to get table) Yay. The weather’s getting gorgeous and it’s not too hot. Just perfect. I’m not sure why sitting outside while we eat is so gosh-darn appealing, but it is. Why? Because the pictures would turn out prettier! Haha, and we love the back-to-nature ambiance definitely. Well, it’s not exactly dining outside under the sun, it’s just that the place is not air-conditioned 🙂 Here’s their menu <3  Cappuccino – RM8 Latte – RM8 Not-so-pretty coffee art, perhaps due to the busy crowd and hustles around the kitchen area, but their coffee was great!  Hearty Breakfast – RM17.90 Chicken sausages, hash brown, scrambled eggs, tomatoes, baked beans, roasted potatoes, toast. This serving was really hearty and the price comes reasonable too. Considering it being right in the middle of KL city. Very satisfying.  House Egg Ben – RM17.90 (Double) Poached eggs, Hollandaise sauce, chicken ham, sauteed mushrooms, roasted potatoes, fresh salad, homemade brioche toast Marvelous serving of egg benedict & we just gotta have double. Perfectly poached eggs with their hollandaise sauce. The flavour is rich and buttery. I can now declare that this is my favourite egg Benedict 🙂 Ain’t it beautiful? It’s delicious too, with slices of ham & sautĂ©ed mushrooms under it.  Pancakes with Fruits Salad – RM8.90 3 pcs stuffed pancakes, creamy butter, fruit salad & maple syrup Simple breakfast like this makes us happy! Fluffy pancakes matched with fruits and syrups is simply heavenly.  Remember, early birds get the worm! And we have more time to read too! Great outdoor spaces to chill & this is definitely a nice little escape right beside the ever-so-busy Jalan Tun Razak, a bit hidden from the city 🙂 Best of all, the food are all priced very reasonably too! Birthday treat from Chris <3
