We have never felt Disney so close at heart for such a long time until now!
At Hong Kong Disneyland, we felt a magical atmosphere and one would definitely feel like a child again. Thanks to HKDL for making us feel so 🙂
Please remember to refer to refer to our first post on how to get here, and you could check out our dining experiences with the Disney’s Hotels as well!
Even before you enter HKDL, you can take tons of pictures already! Warning! Pictures loaded post ahead! Super long post with more than a hundred pictures!
You could either book your tickets online or if you have not done so, fret not as they have easily accessible ticket booths. We were there for 2 days and if you think you need to be there for 2 full days too, get a 2-days pass. You can check out their ticketing information HERE.
And since they’ve expanded their park, one day is definitely not enough to explore!
And their tickets are so cute! Haha!
An obligatory picture at the entrance of HKDL 🙂
Also, if you feel you need tour services, Disneyland also provides it. Details on different tour services packages HERE. Our 3-hour your guides were super friendly and accommodating 🙂
We reached the Disneyland park after having lunch at Crystal Lotus & just in time for the parade to start at 3.30pm! Themed” Flights of Fantasy. Got ourselves a VIP spot for pictures! Yay!
People waiting patiently for the parade to start.
Jungle Book
Winnie The Pooh & Friends
The Disney Princesses
The Lion King
Lilo & Stitch
Toy Story!
We spent Day 1 exploring the fairly new “lands” of HKDL, namely the Mystic Point, Grizzly Gulch & Toy Story Land!
MYSTIC POINT
The newest theme land which opened May this year! And FYI, it’s World Exclusive!
Chris and I really enjoyed this ride at the manor and it’s mysterious and beautiful at the same time. Riding on the “Mystic Magneto Electric Carriage” going ooh & ahh all the way through the ride was great!
Let’s ride shall we? You should come discover for yourself!
Playing angles haha! Where I was standing is actually the Neptune Oblique Anamorphic Mosaic located at the Garden of Wonders inside the Mystic Point theme land. Here, you could explore the ancient sculptures and paintings that create 3D illusions for the best photo-taking experience! 🙂
GRIZZLY GULCH
We’ve reached the Grizzly Gulch town! Welcome to a Wild West cowboy themed town 🙂 This is a newly open themed land that starts operating last summer & it’s world exclusive! Remember to take the ride at the Big Grizzly Mountain Runaway Mine! What’s so catchy & exciting as we board the mine car exploring the gold mines? The grizzly bears will accidentally cause a detour that will send you backwards & speed up throughout the end of the ride!
TOY STORY LAND
Welcome to play with Andy’s toys! 😀 & this theme land is Asia exclusive!
Are you ready for a thrilling ride?? This is the RC Racer!
OMG. Yes we did this!
And it looks like this!
The Soldier’s parachute may look easy peasy but this could be quite heart throbbing too. Nonetheless, FUN!
One of my favourite toys when I’m young. Ok I know I’m boring.
Little green men loves me!
Ice Cream stick bench so cute! Must sit!
Lotsa toys to play with at ToyStoryLand. Whee!
Chris’s giant remote!
And we got ourselves quite occupied at their souvenir store. Hehe.
ADVENTURE LAND
Jungle River Cruise – We took a boat ride to explore the jungle river with tribal influences, and the animals in it were so real.
Let’s get on the river cruise!
Besides thrilling and fun rides you could also catch some shows. And we watched The Lion King Festival on Day 1. Lovely casts, beautiful voices & lively performances that we all enjoyed.
After the Lion King show, we hopped over to the Explorer’s Club Restaurant for dinner.
Explorer’s Club Restaurant is located at the Mystic Point theme land and is serving international cuisine. It’s a self service restaurant with stalls & exotic themed décor from Egypt, Russia, Morocco, India and China. Do take note that this is a HALAL restaurant 🙂
We had Bento Box with Baked Salmon, Nasi Goreng & some Japanese Takoyaki for dinner that night.
Remember to stay for the Disney in the Stars fireworks at 8pm.
However time may change depending on the weather or events. Kindly refer to their DAILY CALENDAR as a better reference 🙂
They have synchronised music from famous Disney films & the fireworks line up is pretty impressive. The fireworks is set at the Sleeping Beauty castle thus try to be there a little bit earlier to get a good spot. Watching the fireworks at the Disney castle just feels so magical with all the Disney classic music playing in the background 🙂
DAY 2!
Remember I said we spend 2 days at the Disneyland Park?
So here we go! I got my Minnie ears ready! It goes pretty well with almost everything in the park.
Just to RECAP that there are FREE SHUTTLES that takes you from the Disney Hotels from & to the park every 10-15 mins (well it’s earlier than that most of the time), so it’s really convenient.
Closer look at the tickets! That’s my face for the day 🙂
Exciting girl jump!
There were just too many Disney fans around the park. Spotted a group of fans with creative artwork of Mickey & Minnie drawn on their legs!
Like we said before, we just have too many pictures to take even before we entered HKDL!
I’m not sure what’s with the leg uplift but Chris made me do it. Haha.
MAIN STREET U.S.A
Welcome to Monster University!
First ride for Day 2, let’s start it slow with the Hong Kong Disneyland railroad 🙂
Waiting for our train ride at the Hong Kong Disneyland Railway! *beams*
Everyone’s favourite broadway show would be the broadway musical show: The Golden Mickeys 🙂
FANTASYLAND
From Main Street USA, we then proceeded to the Fantasyland, every girl’s favourite!
Merry-Go-Round: Our Wedding Theme. So a must ride! This is the Cinderella Carousel.
The Mad Hatter’s Tea Cup
it’s a small world ride. I must admit this is one of my favourite too in Disneyland 🙂
Get the views of day and night.
This is TOMORROWLAND!
Comet Cafe – Our first lunch stop here for some Chinese noodles fix
2nd Lunch stop: Starliner Cafe for fast food! Ok, we ordred a meal each at different cafes so that we get to try different restaurants. Haha greedy..
Get ready for another thrilling ride at the Space Mountain! But make sure you do this before meal. Yikes.
Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters
Help Buzz Lightyear save the galaxy from Emperor Zurg with the laser guns!
Stitch Encounter
You can have an interactive session with the mischievous alien Stitch! And he picked Chris to talk to him! Haha. Their conversation was pretty hilarious.
Such a bad poser but can’t help it!
When your little feet is a little worn out, check out the Corner Cafe for their Hi Tea Set!
Priced at HKD298 that serves 2.
The pretty tier comes with:

All things Mickey k!
Oh, and we paired our tea set the HK style – with HK Iced Milk Tea!
What makes Disneyland so magical?
We simply just can’t tell by words. Is it because the rides are awesome? Yeah, that’s another great reason. Pretty themes? Sure, definitely. And attention to detail? Yep, that too. Happy employees and staffs? Absolutely ‘cos all the cast members are fabulous. People fight crowds, wait in long lines etc all for that piece of Disney magic you just can’t seem get anywhere else 🙂 Trust us. You will feel that too.
Exclaiming my love for Duffy again 🙂
Furthermore, after their park’s expansion, it is now too big to finish it in just one day. So your Magical Days at the Hong Kong Disneyland has a reason to be extended! Yay!
