We weren’t really familiar with the Ampang neighbourhood until recently.
Having heard of the Ampang being the inhabitant of major Korean folks in town, we finally decided to give this “Korean Village” a visit.
After a fiery dinner of Chuncheon Dak Galbi with our partners-in-crime (stay tune for our post!), we didn’t just call it a day. In search for a cosy tete-a-tete hub, we discovered Nabe Bakery by chance.
Hugged with excitement, we popped by this new bakery which recently open its doors few months ago. Manned by a Korean couple & family, this little outlet offers cakes and breads made from ingredients mostly imported from Korea. With a few comfy seats, patrons could actually dine-in; having coffee & ‘Korean’ cakes 🙂
Iced Mocha – RM 9.50
Loaded with strong aroma of coffee and cocoa, we boasted that this was better than Starbuck’s *wink*
Fresh Fruit Juice – RM 8.00
Chris and I decided to go for Tomato & Orange, our favourite blend. No water added, we love this concentration.
Red Bean Icewater – RM9.50
Sounded pretty simple?
Well, it’s not. A huge bowl of sweetness brimmed to the top overflowing with mangoes, watermelons, honeydews chunks, red bean & another very special ingredient: Korean rice cake which lend a chewy texture! I sure prefer this version to Snowflake’s bestseller ;P
Cheesecake – RM 6.90
A darling that we must all savour.
Bet you can already tell from its smooth outer layer. Grab a bite and you could feel the soft spongy texture by the side and bottom, coating the soft, chilled cheese inside. Very light, not satiating & guilt-free!
