When it comes to the month of May & June, Mother’s & Father’s Day celebration can’t be missed with a family gathering harmonized with a table full of food.
That’s when we went over to Lot 10 Hutong during Mommy’s Day.
It was a bliss that ignited my idea to have family dinner here next time when we dined at House of Tang with AiWei, Jason & Simon.
One Bangsar is a familiar place to almost everyone. However, we tend to miss this happening posh spot everytime we hang around Bangsar and often ended up at Telawi area or BSC.
It’s about time now when we spend some time here after work. House of Tang was our choice as we have heard so much about its Chinese cuisine that stressed on ‘home-cooked’ and ‘no MSG’ idea, bringing out a higher end of home-atmosphere dining leaving behind mom’s fuss of whipping out a dinner. Good idea eh?
Appetizers
Unagi Puff
A special dim sum for us to savour. Crispy, loose skin wrapping the eel cutely. FYI, House of Tang serves dim sum too. Many selections to choose from 🙂
Braised Seafood in Scallop and Shark’s Fin Soup 瑶柱海味烩鱼翅
A rather different version of the typical shark fin’s soup that we normally have during weddings, as this winds out very aromatic flavours of the scallop with a hint of distinct mushroom taste too.
Assam ‘Tom Yam’ Grouper 亚参冬炎石斑鱼
Although we thought that the fish was kinda over-cooked, the tangy flavours of sourish assam ignited our appetite.
Braised Pig Trotter 红烧元蹄
Be sure to have it as this braised dish was well worth a praise. Lined with fats and soft lean meat, even having a little more of it would not be a guilt ;P
Stir Fried Pork Belly with Preserved Vegetables 咸菜炒猪肚
Shen Jiang Homemade Bean Curd 申江自制豆腐
Soft and silky beancurd is a must order when Chris and I dined at ‘siu chao’ Chinese restaurant. Didn’t thought that House of Tang could do this almost normal dish so well too.
Pigweed Simmered with Whitebait and Wolfberry 银鱼纪子灼苋菜
Fried Yee Mee with Diced Prawns 虾茸干烧伊面
Herbal Jelly with Water Chestnut and Ginseng Roots 参须龟苓膏炖马蹄
Heart this. A great combination of healthy dessert that nourishes the body.
Fret not if you’re planning for a Father’s Day celebration.
