Mini C has stepped into the 2nd month of playing while learning at Brainfit Studio!
Read more about the introduction & why we chose Brainfit Studio for Mini C HERE!
We would like to emphasize again why we personally think it is important to create a Structured Learning Environment like what Brainfit Studio did for Mini C. Some would call it playschool in layman term but contrary to what the term connotes, playschool, unlike some facilities in the malls, is not just a place where you can drop your children off and they play in an unstructured and erratic sort of way.
Brainfit prepared lesson plans, structured activities, and goals set for learning. Which is very important 🙂
Chris and I thought that it is a good place for Mini C who don’t receive much stimulation at home, especially when both of us are busy with work. Our child is very curious, and putting him in such a setting enhances his development. Yay.
Baby Newton Class: Lesson 5
It was his 5th class already with Teacher Celest! and hello Teacher YY!
Obstacle course is getting more and more fun each week! I think he’s quite excited with the tunnels that they created. Haha.
Like this, the net version. As expected, he’s pretty excited when he spotted the blue & yellow ball.
Climbing up & down – exploring colours
Then it was lesson time.
He’s still easily distracted but flash cards can settle down him for quite a while.
Memory game was fun. They are supposed to find the ball that is hidden inside the coloured container after Teacher Celest showed them. Hmm.. I think he was quite good with this one. Or was is mere luck? Hahaha!
Until he has to stand & play!
Fine motor skill training – transferring coloured balls from one container to another. Tough! So I had to help him.
He’s not very patient but I’m glad he did a few rounds with my help.
Categorizing objects – a disaster!
He still wouldn’t obey commands and doesn’t even wanna stick the objects on the board. Prefer to take them out instead. Oops!
Gotta work more on this.
Sensory Play!
Can sharpen cognitive, linguistic, social emotional skills and enhance creativity!
We both thought that this is his favourite part of the class after obstacle course. Hehe
Playing with water beads this round.
Touching the slippery and cooling water beads. And he loves it!
Mini C likes story-telling too!
Baby Newton Class: Lesson 6
Going through the arch and caterpillar tunnel during last week’s obstacle course.
Balancing with Papa Chris 🙂
Having fun on the trampoline! Actually it was our very first time seeing him jump! He can jump so high! Hahaha
Again, he refused to sit on his own so I’ve to be his “Chair” Oh dear…
Memory game with shapes and blocks!
Categorizing Air & Land Transport.
Still couldn’t make it while his classmate did such a great job. Passed with flying colours! #peerpressure
Music time!
But Mini C showed off his rattling skill to his friend. LOL
Even at home he will do the usual UP, UP, DOWN, DOWN with me!
Wow. My boy is very aggressive HAHAHA
Thank god for story-telling time, he settled for a while.
Milestone gained with BrainFit Baby™ Class 5 & 6:
- Mimics action better!
- Pays more attention to our calls
- Repeat after what we say (better)
- More alert to music played and dance along
Because the lessons and activities are play-based. Very young children learn best through play, an activity that they are experts on.
