Looking for a cosy place to relax, chill & read without much disturbance?
This place would be a great choice we bet!
It used to be that we just needed one hand to count all the truly outstanding coffee shops in town. Now, thanks to a recent surge of brave coffee geeks-turned-entrepreneurs, you need both hands to tick off all the stellar shops in the city, and maybe that isn’t quite enough.
We’re sure everyone has an intense personal definitions of what makes a great café, and we’re no different. We looked for shops that elevate our typical café experience with quality coffee beans, a warm ambiance, and skilled baristas who could pull perfect shots just as readily as they could smile with sincerity!
Would you care for coffee?
And we managed to cap our day with tea & coffee at The Brew Culture in Plaza Damas 3. A café that not only have to-die-for beans, but extra-cozy settings that will have you buzzing with delight—and, of course, good old-fashioned caffeine. We personally have soft spots for cute things, especially those that incorporates retro-ness, handmade and colourful: that’s why we love Hua Hin (Haha.. still can’t get over the recent trip. Will be updating about it real soon).
Like The Brew Culture, besides portraying their stellar definition in making the perfect cuppa, they have successfully turn their café into a homely one: comfortable, bright, colourful, cheerful and go-green themed!
Dedicated barista at work
The coffee stains on the menu were there on purpose! 🙂
Thoughtful idea: “shoes” for their chairs so that it wouldn’t cause screeching noise when pulling it.
Cute Moo Wall 🙂
Recycled use of milk boxes! Such cute washroom signs lighted up!
More milk boxes painted in different patterns & colours put to good use!
More greens in da house that provided the eco-ness 🙂
Hot Coffee: all coffee are served double shots of espresso
Americano (Espresso with hot water) – RM6
Chris said the place is too comfy he would fall asleep with his book! So, he need something strong a.s.a.p! LOL.
Peach Fruit Tea – RM12
Hibiscus, rose buds, herbs, blueberry, blackcurrant & grapes. High in antioxidant that improves skin health and improves brain function too. Since i had my caffeine dosed topped up in the morning at That Latte Place, I’m craving for tea instead. And this version of peach tea has all the properties I need!! 🙂
Brew Culture’s Hummingbird Cake
Since it was my birthday, Chris spoiled me with another piece of cake! It was our first time having a Hummingbird cake and we totally loved it. I can finally tell how a Hummingbird Cake taste like 🙂
It’s like a perfect marriage between Banana Bread and Carrot Cake. Lighter than carrot cake, almost crumbly, though still in a moist way. Yet it’s bearing the distinct, though not overpowering flavour of banana. Plus point for the nuts that they incorporated for greater texture. It also has cream cheese frosting which gives a nod toward the carrot cake family. Light, airy and magical.
I also love the look of this cake; earthy, rustic but charming at the same time.
Keep calm & read! Ok, I “Insta-ed” too! Hehe 🙂
