The memory of myself being the queen of my own bridal shower @ the Croisette Cafe just last year seemed so fresh and vivid. And this year, it was my BFF Citygal’s turn to get hitched soon!
So being able to throw her a surprise Bridal Shower under some “secret-mission-projects” with the Maid-Of-Honour Ivy was pretty exciting.
Since the Instagram is one of the most IN social platform nowadays, we thought it would be appropriate to hashtag our little project and thus:
#thelilacproject
And so this became our Bridal Shower theme 🙂
Many have asked what’s #thelilacproject about?
So here’s the little 1,2,3…
#1 Theme: Dreamy Lilac
Why lilac?
Because we will be her lilac girls during her wedding in the coming month!
#2 Project Insta!
About 2 weeks before the shower took place, we would hashtag a pic that reads #thelilacproject on Instagram to create some sneak peek for the Bride-to-be. Let’s ###!
Hardworking blogger STILL at work on her off day! Updating Insta, Twitter/ FB! LOL!
#3 Venue: Maison Francaise @ Jln Changkat Kia Peng, KL
Deciding on the afternoon tea venue (if you decide to have hi tea for bridal shower) could be quite tough, especially when you wanted a more private area without being charged a bomb out of it. And of course, a pretty place that combines the sophistication of your theme and most importantly, the food is good. I would personally recommend Maison Francaise @ Jalan Changkat Kia Peng, KL for an intimate Hi-Tea session.

Our small group of girls were allocated on the 2nd floor with joined tables accommodating close enough for us to chat around. Clever & thoughtful arrangement. Unlike most place, they would just join you up into a long table where communication would have to be mobile a bit (Well, this have to depend on the space that the restaurant have also, I know). The area we have is spacious and we had another sofa area where we could place our props, scrapbook and decorations a bit more! Best of all, furnitures of Maison Francaise came in monotone and thus, it would blend well with almost any colour you match with! And those lace curtains they have are the perfect match to our handmade banners *blessed*
