TWG Tea Salon & Boutique
Our very first encounter was at ION Orchard, Singapore. However, we have yet to set our feet in any of their tea locations in Singapore before this. Since TWG Tea was established in Singapore, I just love their unique retail outlets and exquisite tea rooms.
And yes I have been bugging Chris about going back for it when we happen to be in Singapore 😛
But this TWG Tea agenda has been pending till now……
When TWG Tea Salon finally decided to blend into KL, to create the vast collection of fine harvest teas and exclusive blends!
Here I was at this very fine and exquisite salon & boutique with the BFF Ivy, leaving Chris alone at his office *evil grin*
And so I have to take pictures myself (Sorry, still not up to Chris’s standard yet :P)
This glamorous TWG Tea Boutique offers more than 450 fine harvest teas from around the globe as well as exclusive tea blends, packed in vibrant colour tea packages. Great for gifts!
What differentiates this tea boutique from the others is definitely their clever idea of integrating their signature teas into savoury recipes that created a unique flavour introducing their patrons and tea lovers with the great sensations when they dine at TWG Tea. Tea is woven into their meal; be it breakfast, brunch, lunch, afternoon tea or dinner.
Tea Time Set Menu (From 3pm – 6pm)
We went for their CHIC SET – RM46
- TWG Tea from their extensive tea list (yes, it’s super extensive)
A list that leads to our deranged vision, we quickly asked for the staff’s help. She politely recommended Pink Flamingo.
A pink tea infused with a mixture of fruity and flower blend made us happy girls.
- Choice of 2 freshly baked scones or muffins served with TWG Tea jelly and whipped cream or 1 patisserie from their trolley. We quickly agreed for Scones!
Though we would love to admit their scones are great and buttery, but the star of the plate would be the tea jelly definitely! Beating the typical strawberry jam and clotted cream, this tea infused jelly is matched perfectly with both the cream and pastry.
- A petite selection of three finger sandwiches. We chose: Imperial set – Foie gras, Chicken with Comptoir des Indes Tea infused with creme fraiche, Cucumber with cream cheese infused Earl Grey Fortune.
Every bite was very bagged with the “atas feel” haha.
In addition to an array of takeaway patisseries, the Boutique also offers TWG Tea-infused chocolate bonbons, chocolate bars and macarons.
We had their TWG Tea Macarons 🙂
TWG Tea’s renowned crispy almond biscuit with soft centre. Infused with their signature teas, TWG Tea has transformed the macaron into a uniquely memorable confection.
In terms of overall taste, we would still go vote for Millesime followed by Nathalie’s version but TWG’s version is special in a way that they are tea based. Credits to that 🙂
Camelot Tea & Praline – RM4
Earl Grey Fortune & Chocolate – RM4
Their patisserie is entirely crafted and delivered daily ensuring the finest quality to customers, TWG Tea said 🙂
