After our breakfast ventures at Donald & Lily’s, pork satays at Kedai Satay Xi Jiang and strolling along Jonker Street, it’s time for a tea-break.
Decided to reward ourselves with coffee & cakes, Nadeje Cake Shop crossed our mind. We then hopped over to their cafe located inside the Dataran Pahlawan Mall for a quick relieve of caffeine and crepes. To be precise:
Mille Crepes!
What’s Mille Crepe?
A sweetheart that speaks French 🙂
A French cake made out of many crepe layers.
Mille means a thousand = many layers of crepe!
Nadeje’s modern interior. A comfy place to hang out to chitter-chatter.
We started off with a cuppa each 🙂
Cappuccino – RM6.90
Cafe Mocha – RM8.90
Cafe Venna – RM6.80
Vegetable Yakult – RM9.00
Healthy drink chunked with probiotics.
Introducing Nadeje’s Mille Crepes:
They have like more than 10 choices but we decided to go for these 🙂
Original Slice – RM9.00
Home made custard cream with Tahitian Vanilla Beans whipped together with fresh cream. The texture was endearingly smooth we assured, with the layers melting in our mouth ensuring a rich taste even afterwards.
Tiramisu – RM9.00
Claimed using the Mascarpone cheese of Galbanoni, Italy, you would never resist as its top layer was infused with coffee. Forking downwards towards the crepe and grab that bite quickly. Rich and profound taste? Oh yeah!
Rum Raisin – RM9.00
They preserved the black Raisin with Rum for a week generating a paste which produce Rich Rum and Raisin Fragrance resulting a moderately sweet rum raisin mille crepe.
I once heard these: To taste true rum, you have to drink with all your senses. Sip with your eyes. Knock back the aromas with your nose.
Like wise, let your tastebuds feel this crepe! 🙂
Mango Tart – RM9.00
Crepes overdose? Here’s a pretty mango tart as an antidote.

Yeah, the rum and raisin was well worth the trip alone. Though I have heard of unfavourable feedback on Nadeje, especially this branch at Dataran Pahlawan. Still, beats Food Foundry hands down. Personal opinion.
we thought so too 🙂
I’m missing these crepes again.. Another excuse to head down to Melaka 🙂
Nice photos! I like the last photo, so sweet! Love the cakes there, very nice! =)
I ferried 6 slices of cake back to KL by car and then carried it for nearly an hour on LRT! But it was worth it though..heheh. We were told to try Humble Beginnings for good mille crepe too, but we haven’t had the chance yet. Maybe you could give it a go. =)
Adam
wow…perhaps next time we should do take aways too! haha
and thanks for the recommendation Adam. will give it a try next time 🙂
love the original one 😀
hehe, cant wait for our next trip again
I am going next Saturday …
Hail to the mille crepe …. A must have dessert from Malacca.
[…] mode Great zesty flavours but lack of layered texture. We find the crepe a little thick. Still has Nadeje’s mille crepe topping our crepe list […]
