Continuing our journey from our fist stop at Donald & Lily’s: Walkabouts around town & photo-shooting before the next stop 🙂

2nd Stop: Kedai Satay Xiang Ji
Aiming for their pork satay, we were one of the very first customers to arrive. Eyeing on those well marinated pork chunks on the skewers being placed on burning charcoal stove. With the right balance of lean meat and fats, these pork satay would beat the Ipoh’s version we had. However, comparing meat texture, PJ Old Town’s version would be better.
Selling at the price of RM0.70 per stick now, heard they only cost about RM0.50 just last year. Inflation sighs…
They definitely aced in their sauce. Instead only normal peanut sauce, it’s filled with chopped pineapples, a little starfruit zest are also added in the cooking process, resulting a tangier & sweeter gravy.
Delicious pork satay
