An Italian dinner has always been a romantic activity vividly portrayed in my thoughts. Sitting by the red bricks bar, sipping your favourite Vino da Tavola & sinking a small bite onto the cheesy Quattro Formaggi while whispering excitedly into each others ears……

La Risata which means “The Laughter” is a cosy place to be for dating couples, groups of friends and even family dining. Sleek bar with red bricks & unfinished walls gave the rustic ambiance as well as a casual dining experience. Still standing strong after more than a dozen years, La Risata at Medan Damansara is always upgrading itself to cater patrons needs.

GNOCCHI AI GAMBERI – RM22
Little potato dumplings & prawn sautéed in herb butter
Chewy cute potato balls with flavoursome herb essence and saltiness to the right level.

 

ANTIPASTI MISTI – RM42
Antipasti platter adorned with grilled mushroom, deep fried calamari rings,beef carpaccio & garlic crostini with chicken liver pâté. A great preparation for sharing & snacking while enjoying your drinks & chitter-chatters.

 

Pizza
PIZZA D’ANATRA – RM36
Smoked duck, rocket, anchovy, caramelized onion & mozzarella
This would be my favourite and the flavours from each ingredients were well balanced. Smoky flavours from the duck, bitter-y rocket, sweet onions with salty anchovies & cheesy mozzarella!

 

PIZZA SPECK CON GORGONZOLA – RM35
Smoked turkey ham, gorgonzola, caramelised onion, mozzarella & cream
Great amount of cheese topped with the sweet onion that we enjoyed.

 

PIZZA D’AGNELLO – RM32
Lamb ragu, cherry tomato, ricotta, mozzarella & mint leaf
We rarely tasted lamb pizza and this one’s memorable. Strong lamb aroma with the mint leaves & ricotta are perfect for each other.

 

Pastas
SPAGHETTI ALLA RISATA (House Specialty) – RM35
Mixed seafood in a hearty tomato sauce & baked in foil
Loaded with fresh prawns, calamari, mussels and clams, the spaghetti were cook till al dente & infused with tomato gravy. When baked in aluminium foil & sprinkled with some cili padi, this generated extra kick!

 

PENNE CON GAMBERI E PESTO – RM34
Tube pasta with prawn & basil pesto sauce
Both of us love basil pesto sauce as the fresh herb taste made this very appetizing

 

SPAGHETTI CON ARRAGOSTA – RM38
Spaghetti with lobster, garlic, chili & olive oil
A spicy toss that suited our Malaysian tastebuds!
